The man who called for ‘extermination’ of the Lakota
The year 2014 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz movie starring Judy Garland.Websites ranging from Amazon.com to e-Bay will be selling everything from Dorothy dolls to Monopoly sets, cups, glasses, box sets, and replicas of friendly lions, straw men and tin men.

L. Frank Baum, ladies and gentlemen:
“The Whites, by law of conquest, by justice of civilization, are masters of the American continent, and the best safety of the frontier settlements will be secured by the total annihilation of the few remaining Indians.”
Just after the Wounded Knee Massacre, when hundreds of unarmed civilians, including children and elderly, were slaughtered:
“Wipe these untamed and untamable creatures off the face of the Earth.  In this lies future safety for our settlers and the soldiers who are under incompetent commands.”
If Hitler had written a novel would y’all be paying real money for that novel and openly reading and enjoying it?  Would it be made into movies and musicals?
What do you think?
